1976 Charles Lotton Turtle Shell Weight

The long-time collector that we acquired this piece from told us the story behind it.  He told us that this piece was Charles’ attempt to duplicate the Tiffany Turtle Shell style.  According to the collector, Charles decided for whatever reasons after making this piece not to make any more pieces in this style.  A quick check of the price guide price should substantiate this claim, as this piece is listed as “NP”, meaning No Price.

It’s an interesting part of Charles’ history, and one of the Smith's favorite pieces.

This is piece number 524 in the Lotton Book.
