The Bruce D. Roberts Lotton Paperweight Collection

For my little corner of Planet Lotton, here's how I got started. 

I manage my family's bills, paperwork, etc.  After years of either the wind or the cats scattering the papers on my desk, a great realization came to me: I need a paperweight!  (Brilliant, eh?)
 
Being an eBay devotee, I started browsing the listings for something both attractive and affordable.  I didn't see anything that I remotely wanted, let alone would pay for - until, one day, I saw a weight by someone named Charles Lotton.  It had a pattern that I learned was called King Tut.
 
Well, I had found my paperweight.  And, it came to pass, I had found a new collecting interest.  Seven years later, I'm still partial to Charles's King Tut pattern, and to his early 1970s weights in general. My paperwork pile always has one of Charles's weights atop it.  I switch the "working" paperweight whenever the mood grabs me. Who knows, maybe I'll expand into vases or lamps someday!.
